The purpose of CCAN is to support sustainable local agriculture to ensure a wholesome, diverse and nourishing supply of food and other agricultural products for residents of the Central Coast. 

About the Site

The Central Coast Grown website is your resource to find, purchase and prepare local food. Wherever you choose to buy your agricultural products, we have you covered. Look for that Central Coast Grown logo to identify local agricultural products at our participating restaurants and grocery stores .  You can also use our site to locate your nearest Farmers market , CSA program , or to browse our local farms and ranches .  Don’t forget to see what’s in season and check out some of our recipes that you can make at home!

Monthly Close-Up:  Wind Dance Farm

Wind Dance Farm is a multi-generation family farm that sits atop a hill in Avila.  Scott Ritterbuck tells us that his family moved onto the property two years ago to manage the farm.  The farm, started by Michael and Sherry Ritterbuck in 2001, originally had only one tree on the property.  Now, Wind Dance Farm is home to over 250 avocado trees, 100 fruit trees, olive trees, a llama, chickens and alpacas.
